Finding Purpose in the Midst of Pain 🫶

While scrolling through Instagram, I came across a post by a well-known pastor sharing insights on the difference between a career and a calling.

Unsurprisingly, the post garnered thousands of likes and comments, as conversations about purpose and meaningful work often resonate deeply with many of us. As I skimmed through the comments, there were two in particular that made me pause and reflect:

Within moments, I was taken back to a time in my own life when I felt an absence of purpose.

It was a season defined by fear, rejection, and shame, causing me to withdraw into isolation. Hope and faith felt distant, almost unreachable. In that moment, I allowed the weight of my present struggles to overshadow the possibilities waiting for me in the future.

I wrestled to understand why God would allow me to endure such hardship? I can tell you now that pain, struggle, and hardship definitely were not part of my plan, and they certainly didn’t feel purposeful.

But as time passed, I learned to ask more empowering questions that challenged me to shift my perspective toward accountability and growth.

  • What is this situation trying to teach me?

  • Who do I need to become to rise to the level of my full potential?

With the guidance of mentors and coaches, I was able to develop a larger vision for my life, anchored in possibility. This process wasn’t just about setting goals—it was about reshaping how I saw myself, expanding my mental image of who I wanted to become.

As my self-image grew, something remarkable happened: the pain, shame, and fear that once held me back began to lose its grip. In its place, I found peace within and a renewed sense of purpose—and so can you!!

My deepest hope is that you will align your actions with a higher belief and rise above your current challenge and realize new potential.

Never forget—God’s plan and purpose for your life are a reflection of His own nature: big, powerful, and greater than you can imagine.
